Kennel Assistant - Experienced Needed


Job responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining kennel area in such a manner as to provide an odor free and low stress environment. Kennel Assistants are also responsible for feeding and providing daily care for all animals including those being boarded and hospitalized. Kennel also helps doctors and other technicians with handling patients. Some other duties consist of cleaning the treatment and reception area of the hospital by emptying trash, mopping floors and cleaning restrooms. Applicants need to have a background with both cats and dogs. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

VETERINARY TECHNICIANS - EXPERIENCED ONLY

Technicians are responsible for assisting the doctors, laboratory procedures, radiology, client communication, medical procedures, pharmacy, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, inventory, daily treatment of hospitalized patients, rehabilitation, assisting in the operating room. Some additional tasks include;

  • Taking Histories
  • Running/Reading Urinalysis and Fecals
  • Handling/Restraining Patients
  • Administer Oral/Injectable Medications
  • Administer/Monitor Anesthesia
  • IV Catheters and Fluid Therapy
  • Drawing blood
  • Assisting with surgery


 Receptionist
Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, admitting and discharging patients, filling some prescriptions, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area maintenance.  Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties.
